On July 11, within the framework of the Third Meeting of Regional Civil Aviation Organizations, the regional organizations laid a wreath as a sign of respect, empathy and reconciliation at the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center.

The President and the Secretary of the Commission participated on July 11 in Kigali, Rwanda in the third meeting of the four regional civil aviation organizations (ACAO, AFCAC, ECAC, LACAC) in order to address issues of common interest and make more efficient cooperation in promoting the sustainable and inclusive development of air transport.

The LACAC-KCAA Course on “DVOR Maintenance” was held in Montevideo, Uruguay from May 27 to 31, 2024, with the guidance of instructors DooHyun Lee and Yongchoel Lee. It had the participation of 19 professionals from 4 LACAC member States. The classes required hard group work and exchange of ideas.

Within the framework of the Future Aviation Forum, the MOU was signed between the Latin American Civil Aviation Commission and the General Authority of Civil Aviation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which strengthens the alliance between both organizations and opens the way for greater collaboration.

Within the framework of the Future Aviation Forum 2024, the ICAO Facilitation Global Summit was held, in which the Secretary of LACAC was invited to give a presentation at the High-Level Session “ICAO’s Regulatory Role in Air Transport Facilitation” on May 21 where he shared his experiences in Facilitation matters in the region.
