Closure of the LACAC Assembly

The Assembly concluded with important closing remarks by Mr. Juan Carlos Salazar, Secretary General of ICAO, where he delivered important guidance elements for the development of international civil aviation in view of the 41st ICAO Assembly. And with the opening speech by Mr. Gaetano Battagliese, president of the Executive Committee of LACAC.

Tribute to Dr. Angela Marina Donato

On March 25, within the framework of the XXIV Ordinary Assembly of LACAC, a respectful posthumous tribute was paid to Dr. Angela Marina Donato De Pancaldo, Secretary of the Commission (1986-1994). The tribute was given by Dr. Mario Folchi, president of the Latin American Association of Aeronautical and Space Law – ALADA. (Link to video).

Executive Committee 2022 – 2024

The LACAC Assembly, on March 25, elected its Executive Committee for the 2022-2024 biennium, which is chaired by Uruguay. Its vice-presidencies are made up of the following Member States: Guatemala (1st vice-presidency); the Dominican Republic (2nd vice presidency); Chile (3rd vice-presidency); and Brazil (4th Vice President).

ALTA participation in the Assembly

ALTA actively participated in two important events on March 24: the SAF Forum with a presentation by Gonzalo Yelpo, and an important presentation on statistics in the region by José Ricardo Botelho, Executive Director of ALTA.

Working Group during the XXIV Assembly
