Acordo Multilateral de Céus Abertos para os Estados Membros da CLAC
Na Assembléia Ordinária XIX da CLAC, realizada em Santo Domingo – República Dominicana, em novembro de 2010, concordou-se em instar os Estados membros da CLAC, Assine o Acordo Multilateral de Céus Abertos da região, imediata e / ou gradualmente.
O objetivo e a finalidade do acordo é proporcionar céus abertos aos Estados membros da CLAC, por meio de concessão de direitos de tráfego entre esses Estados membros e com terceiros países (3ª, 4ª, 5ª e 6ª liberdade).
Além disso, é possível aumentar os direitos acima mencionados, uma vez que também se contemplam para os Estados que assim o determinem: a sétima liberdade para os serviços exclusivos de carga; a sétima liberdade para serviços combinados de passageiros e carga; e o direito à cabotagem, isto é, à oitava e à nona liberdade.
A depositária do Acordo é a Secretaria da CLAC em Lima, Peru. O Acordo foi assinado por 9 Estados membros da CLAC e está aberto para assinatura dos Estados que ainda não o fizeram.
