The XXVI Ordinary Assembly of the Latin American Civil Aviation Commission (LACAC) was held in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, on 8 and 9 November. The event was coordinated by Azucena Zelaya, President of LACAC, with the Secretariat led by Jaime Binder.
The meeting brought together 70 delegates, including representatives from 16 member States, 5 non-member States, and international aviation-specialized organizations.
The opening ceremony featured remarks by the President of the Civil Aviation Board of the Dominican Republic, Héctor Porcella; the ICAO Secretary General, Juan Carlos Salazar; and the President of LACAC, who highlighted the main achievements of the Executive Committee during the biennium.
