From 18 to 20 October, in Mexico City, LACAC President Julio Peña Guzmán participated in the ALTA AGM & Airline Leaders Forum 2026, organized by the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA). The annual event brought together airline executives, government authorities and industry representatives to discuss the challenges facing regional aviation and its growth prospects. On this occasion, he held bilateral meetings with General Emilio Avendaño García, Director General of Mexico’s AFAC, and Christopher Barks, Regional Director of ICAO’s NACC Office. Both meetings addressed issues of mutual interest for the development of civil aviation in the region and reaffirmed the commitment to deepening regional cooperation.
