On 15 April, during GISS 2026 in Marrakech, LACAC held a bilateral meeting with Singapore, reaffirming a strategic relationship aimed at capacity building and technical cooperation. Singapore was represented by Baey Yam Keng, Minister of State for Transport, Culture, Community and Youth; Yap Ong Heng, Senior Advisor; Tay Tiang Guan, Dean of the Singapore Aviation Academy; Eileen Poh, Permanent Representative to the ICAO Council; Lau Bee Juan; and John Isaac Lee from International Relations. The meeting highlighted the relevance of specialized training, the implementation of capacity-building programs in the region, and collaboration in emerging areas such as advanced air mobility and regulatory development.
