On 9 November, the XXVI CLAC Assembly unanimously elected, in accordance with the Commission’s Statutes, the new Executive Committee for the upcoming biennium. The Secretary reported that, as there were no competing candidacies for any of the positions, direct proclamation was possible. The Presidency was assigned to the Dominican Republic, while the Vice Presidencies were assigned to Chile (First), Brazil (Second), Costa Rica (Third), and Panama (Fourth).
