On August 19–20, 2025, the 107th Meeting of the CLAC Executive Committee was held, chaired by Azucena Zelaya, President of the Commission, with the participation of 14 Member States. During the meeting, Japan and Egypt presented their candidacies for the Presidency of the ICAO Council, represented by Ambassador Toshiyuki Onuma and Minister Sameh ElHefny, respectively, which were received with interest by the Committee. Assisted by the CLAC Secretariat, the meeting also provided an opportunity to review the work carried out by the Commission in the last period and to advance preparations for the upcoming ICAO Assembly, along with other relevant matters aimed at strengthening civil aviation in the region.
