The Seventh Extraordinary Assembly along with the Celebration of the 50 years of the Commission, was held in the city of Lima, Peru from December 13 to 15, 2023. The coordination of the Assembly was in charge of the President of the LACAC Executive Committee, Mr. Leonardo Blengini, assisted by the Secretary, Mr. Jaime Binder. One hundred and fifteen (115) delegates participated, of which sixty-six (66) delegates represented the following member States: Aruba, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay and, Venezuela. The opening ceremony of the Assembly began with the speech of Mr. Donald Castillo, Director of the DGAC of Peru. Next, Mr. Leonardo Blengini, President of LACAC, gave his speech. Following this, Mr. Salvatore Sciacchitano, President of the ICAO Council, delivered the opening speech of the Assembly. The closing speech was given by the Secretary General of ICAO, Mr. Juan Carlos Salazar, who recalled the beginnings of his career in LACAC of whose Executive Committee he was also President.
