From 27 to 29 September 2026, LACAC participated in Lima, Peru, in the ACI World and ACI-LAC Annual General Assembly, Conference and Exhibition (WAGA 2026), organized by Airports Council International (ACI), with the support of Lima Airport Partners. Subsequently, on 30 September, the Air Transport Summit was held, jointly organized by ICAO, LACAC, ACI-LAC and the Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics of Peru. Julio Peña, Chair of the LACAC Executive Committee, participated in the opening remarks and the panel on connectivity and liberalization, alongside representatives of other Member States. The event also addressed aviation safety, passenger facilitation and airport economics, reaffirming the commitment to regional integration.
