Within the framework of FIDAE, on April 7, 2026, the Secretary of LACAC, Mr. Jaime Binder, participated in the International Seminar on Air Transport Sustainability “Kick-off SAF Business Implementation Study,” where he moderated the panel “Progress and challenges of States for air transport sustainability in Latin America and the Caribbean.”
During the session, initiatives and challenges for the sustainable development of aviation in the region were discussed.
Panelists included Paola Marín Ugarte, Director General of Civil Aviation of Peru, together with Luciano Lopes (Brazil), Johan Salazar Celis (Colombia), Miguel Mejía Capellán (Dominican Republic), and Sebastián Flores Serrano (Chile).
