From June 28 to 30, in Varadero – Cuba, the Eleventh Meeting of Directors of Civil Aviation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean was held, which was sponsored by the Institute of Civil Aeronautics of Cuba – IACC. Prior to this meeting, the High-level workshop on Civil Aviation Master Plans (CAMP) was held. The President and Secretary of LACAC, Mr. Leonardo Benglini, and Mr. Jaime Binder, respectively, participated in this meeting where the following topics were mainly discussed: Conclusions and current decisions of NACC/DCA meetings; Performance report and accountability of the NACC Regional Office to the States; NAM/CAR regional implementation of safety/air navigation; Improvements to air transport in the region; Environmental protection and ratification of international air law instruments, among others.
