On 20 May 2026, the ICAO NACC and SAM Regional Offices organized the Preparatory Webinar for the Seventh Worldwide Air Transport Conference (ATConf/7), in which the Latin American Civil Aviation Commission Latin American Civil Aviation Commission was invited to participate, together with Member States from both regions. The event was inaugurated by the ICAO NACC Regional Director, Mr. Christopher Barks; the ICAO SAM Regional Director, Mr. Fabio Rabanni; and the President of CLAC, Mr. Héctor Procella.
Within the framework of the webinar, the Secretary of CLAC presented the organization’s regional coordination mechanism aimed at supporting States in the formulation of joint positions and proposals for ATConf/7, a conference that will establish the regulatory and economic frameworks for international civil aviation for the next decade.
