On April 9, within the framework of Wings of Change, the workshop “CORSIA at a Crossroads: Can Carbon Markets Deliver in Time” was held. It served as a space for analysis on the challenges faced by the global aviation emissions offsetting mechanism and the role of carbon markets in responding in a timely manner to compliance needs.
The opening session was led by the Secretary General of LACAC, Jaime Binder, who delivered the welcoming remarks and highlighted the relevance of CORSIA as the only global market-based mechanism for aviation, as well as the strategic role of Latin America in expanding the supply of eligible units.
