On November 12, Brasília hosted the 2nd Regional Forum on Energy Transition in Aviation, organized by the Latin American Civil Aviation Commission (LACAC) and Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC). During the event, key topics for the sector’s sustainable development were addressed, highlighting the requirements for project certification in carbon offset programs and the experience of Guyana, a pioneer in selling carbon credits within the CORSIA scheme. Saheed Sulaman, Deputy Director of Guyana’s aviation authority, shared the progress and challenges his country has faced in this critical process.
